I had an excellent experience with Dr Gordy. I dont know about the other reviewer, but I personally had a great experience with his office and personnel. I must say, I dont do alot of reviews, but this was led on my heart to do one. Let me tell you my story. I woke one morning to eye pain. I thought it was nothing, but the next day the pain became worse. I really didn't know what to do, because it was a Thursday, and I wouldn't have any money until Friday (when I got paid). Plus, I don't have insurance so I had no idea what the payment would be? Well, something said just call around. I googled "eye doctor in phenix city," and Dr Gordy eye care popped up, so I called. I explained to the receptionist my situation, and I would be self-pay. Now, I was really expecting here to tell me the price and to just make me an appointment. But that's not what happened. She said, "it sounds as if your in a lot of pain, so just some in today. Can you come in today?" I told her yes, but I wont be able to pay them until tomorrow. She then said, "that's fine, we also have a sliding scale and you wouldn't have to pay much." I tell you, Dr Gordy and his staff are "GOD SENT!" Its been three weeks and I no longer have any eye pain. I've paid them, and I even have my children going to them as well. All I got to say is, its not about what people say or do, its how they make you feel. And Dr Gordy and his team have made me feel important and cared when I needed someone to care. I will never forget that. I and my family will be going to him as long as we are in the area. Thank you Dr Gordy ;-)

The Dr. and staff have always been accommodating for my date. He is wheelchair bound and the always find ways to work around this. Prescriptions were great and glasses finished and returned in a timely manner.
When we moved to Alabama, we needed to find someone to provide my daughter with her glasses. We were recommended Gordy eye care. In our 5 years here we have never had to look further! The staff is wonderful, my daughter's glasses can be tricky as she is VERY near sighted. They have always gone above and beyond for us and we would not think of going anywhere else!
I had none. I didn't like the service. I expected a Doctor to do a much better exam but it was no better than the optometrist. My husbands glasses were never right. He went back but still wrong...
